Audioguide Frauenfriedenskirche Frankfurt

The Frauenfriedenskirche in Frankfurt am Main Bockenheim was consecrated 1929 and is regarded as the central memory church for the dead and fallen of the First and Second World War. It is the only church in the German-speaking world, which was built especially on the initiative of women. Under the leadership of the Catholic German Women's Union, a place of remembrance was created for the victims of the First World War and the request for peace. The ensemble of the church, the court of honor and the parish hall, which is one of the most important sacred buildings of the twentieth century, is a monument of national importance.
